How to play Hold'em Duel
Texas Hold'em heads-up against the house, one 52-card deck. Place your Ante and press Deal: you and the house get 2 cards each (the house's face down). Look at your cards, then fold (lose the Ante) or bet the Flop at 2× Ante to open 3 shared cards. After the Flop you check or bet the Turn at 1× Ante, then the fourth card opens; after the Turn you check or bet the River at 1× Ante, then the last card opens and both sides compare their best 5 of the 7 cards. You win: the Flop, Turn and River bets pay 1.9×; the Ante pays 1.9× if your hand is a straight or better, and is returned on any other win. The house wins: every bet is lost. Same hand: every bet is returned. Hands from high to low: Straight flush, Four of a kind, Full house, Flush, Straight, Three of a kind, Two pair, One pair, High card. The 9 cards of the hand (your 2, the house's 2, the 5 shared ones) are drawn from the deck with the first 9 floats of the server seed, client seed and nonce at the deal, so your choices cannot change the cards that come.
When should I fold?
Only fold the weakest two-card hands (small, unsuited, unconnected cards such as 2-7 or 3-8 offsuit). Nearly every hand with a high card, a pair, two suited or two connected cards is worth the Flop bet. After the flop, bet the Turn and River when you are ahead or have a good chance to get there; check when your hand is weak: checking costs nothing and you still play to the end.
Why is the Ante usually just returned when I win?
The Ante only pays when you win with a straight or better; win with a lower hand and the Ante is returned, while the Flop, Turn and River bets are still paid. The house needs no qualifying hand: the two hands are always compared unless you fold.
What is the RTP?
About 95% of everything staked (the Ante and the Flop, Turn and River bets) with best play: fold about 1 in 10 of the weakest hands, bet the Turn and River when ahead or with a good chance to win. Winning bets pay 1.9× (stake included). Folding too often or betting weak hands lowers the return.
How do I verify a round?
The cards are numbered 0–51 (rank = card % 13, suit = card ÷ 13). The first 9 cards are drawn with the first 9 floats of the server seed, client seed and nonce: cards 1–2 are yours, 3–4 the house's, 5–9 the five shared cards in Flop, Turn, River order. Everything is fixed at the deal, so folding, checking or betting cannot change the cards that come.
